장면: 두 명의 학생이 대화 중

A: Did you hear about the new design class Professor Kim is offering?
(김 교수님이 새로 개설한 디자인 수업 들어봤어?)

B: Yeah, I heard it’s about sustainable design. It sounds so interesting!
(응, 지속 가능한 디자인에 관한 거라며? 진짜 흥미로울 것 같아!)

A: I’d like to sit in on that class. Do you know if it’s open to non-majors?
(나 그 수업 청강하고 싶어. 전공자 아닌 사람도 들을 수 있는지 알아?)

B: I think it is, but you might need to get permission first. Should we check with the professor?
(그런 것 같긴 한데, 먼저 허락을 받아야 할지도 몰라. 교수님께 확인해 볼까?)

A: That’s a good idea. Let’s email him after lunch.
(좋은 생각이야. 점심 먹고 이메일 보내자.)

장면: 회사 내에서 상사가 직원에게 이야기 중

Manager: There’s a conference call with the global team tomorrow at 10 a.m.
(내일 오전 10시에 글로벌 팀과 전화 회의가 있어.)

Employee: Oh, is it about the upcoming project in Europe?
(오, 유럽 프로젝트 관련된 건가요?)

Manager: Yes, they’ll discuss the timeline and resource allocation.
(맞아. 일정이랑 자원 배분에 대해 논의할 거야.)

Employee: I’d like to sit in on that conference call. Can I join?
(저 그 전화 회의 방청하고 싶어요. 참여해도 될까요?)

Manager: Sure, I’ll forward you the meeting link. Make sure to prepare some notes in case they ask for updates from our team.
(물론이지. 내가 회의 링크 보내줄게. 혹시 우리 팀 관련 업데이트를 물어볼 수도 있으니 자료 좀 준비해 둬.)
